Working at a bigger test center I had to face another special challenge: the leadership of employees! A lot of different characters with different preferences work for TÜV Rheinland. Together as a team we have an unmatched expertise. Recognizing, promoting and developing individual strengths is indispensable in order to maintain and improve this expertise.
Next Step on the Career Ladder: Regional Manager
Since the beginning of 2019 I have another role: I have expanded my field of duties even further and became an area manager. My field of duties and assignments could not be more exciting. There is way more to my job than employee performance reviews, training new colleagues, personnel planning, vacation planning, working with existing customers as well as customer acquisition.
My assignments also include the planning of meetings. It is of utmost importance to pass on the key figures and to inform the staff of generic and subject-specific topics. To stay up-to-date, the contact to the main and core business should not be lost. We co-operate closely with other area managers so we can be as flexible as possible for our customers. This exchange happens particularly at superordinate department meetings.
